The Buckingham 50061A-4/80 OX BLOCK® Handline Assembly is a professional-grade rigging and handline system designed for utility, linework, rescue, and load-handling applications. This complete assembly combines Buckingham’s patented OX BLOCK with a 4-foot adjustable sling, steel rigging carabiner, and an 80-foot handline, providing a versatile system for controlled raising, lowering, snubbing, and rigging operations. The OX BLOCK is designed to provide greater control when managing loads by transferring tension away from the worker during lowering operations.
The 50061A-4/80 features an 80-foot length of 1/2-inch polyester handline rope along with a 4-foot by 5/8-inch adjustable sling. The assembly includes an aluminum OX BLOCK, steel rigging carabiner, and steel handline hook. Buckingham rates the overall system at 5,000 lbs. and lists the OX BLOCK, carabiner, sling, and hook with individual breaking-strength and working-load specifications.
The OX BLOCK’s integrated friction bar helps provide controlled rope handling for lowering and snubbing loads, while its design can also be used with compatible pulleys to create mechanical advantage.
